Way of the Prophet (SAW)

About Us

Way of the Prophet (SAW) is a website for all people whether they are Muslim or non-Muslim alike. Islam is a comprehensive way of life and we Muslims must strive to follow the standard set by the final messenger of Allah (SWT) as much as possible.

To be a Muslim is to follow the guidance sent to man in the form of His Prophets especially that of Muhammed (SAW). The laws that govern life in a Muslim's life in this world are to be referred to the Qur'an, Hadith and Sunnah.

Qur'an

This is the final Book from Allah, revealed to Muhammed (SAW) through the Angel Jibreel (Gabriel) over a period of 23 years. It is the Word of God and unlike some of the previous Books from Allah the Qur'an has not been changed by man, it's message is still the same as it was 1400 years ago. It is for this reason that Muslims accept the Bible as revelation and Holy scriptures but in its present form the authenticity is doubtful, the same is true of the Psalms and the Torah. The Qur'an abrogates these previous messages from Allah as they were not complete and were for the people of the time and the people of one nation. The Qur'an is intended for all time and for all nations.

Hadith

These are sayings of the Prophet Muhammed (SAW) , as the Prophet never spoke of himself but what Allah willed they are considered to be the necessary to study the Quran in detail. His teachings were on all aspects of life and are still relevant now.

Sunnah

This is the action of the Prophet (SAW) which Muslims should try to emulate. Allah sent the Qur'an as a miracle that was perfect and for all time. The Prophets (SAW) actions are the best example onto mankind, as the Prophet (SAW) was the very best of humanity. His actions explain and elaborate on the Qur'an as does the Hadith. The Sunnah is the example of the Quranic message to mankind and it is the Prophet Muhammed's legacy to mankind.
