The Seal of the Prophets (TMQ 33:40)

What Scholars have said about Islam and the Prophet Muhammed (SAW)

There have been many scholars who have studied Islam with a clear heart and with a neutral bias. These scholars have not condemned Islam nor have they printed lies about Islam and the Prophet Muhammed (SAW). However there have in the past been articles contrary to this and those people have had ulterior motives for doing this. Islam in the West and many other places is seen as a threat. Not only a military threat but some claim a threat to 'freedom'. Anyone who has taken time to really study Islam has found that Islam does not offer 'terrorism nor does it impose on the freedom of mankind. Islam and the Way of the Prophet is one of Peace, Truth and Knowledge. If something is forbidden in Islam it is done so because of Revelation and not because of man-made law. In the end Allah (SWT) knows man better than man knows himself, so we are not in a position to judge for ourselves what is correct and what is not in may things, (this however does not negate freewill that man has been bestowed upon by Allah (SWT).

A few excerpts follow, by non-Muslims talking about Islam and the Prophet Muhammed (SAW) taken from 'The Personality of Allah's Final Messenger' by Abdul Waheed Khan :

Michael H. Hart in his book, 'Ranking of 100 Most Influential Persons in History' said : He has placed Muhammed on top of the list. Jesus (Isa) is placed at position no.3 and Guatama Buddha at no.4. He has placed Moses (Musa) at no.16.

Professor Nassignon said : Orphanages had sprung up for the first time, it is said, under the teaching of the prophet of Islam. The world owes its orphanages to this Prophet who himself was an orphan.

The Encyclopedia Brittanica says : Muhammed is the most successful of all Prophets and religious personalities.

Annie Bessant in her book 'The Life and Teachings of Muhammed' : It is impossible for anyone who studies the life and character of the great Prophet of Arabia to feel anything but reverence for that mighty Arabian Teacher.

The Prophet Muhammed Allah's Final Messenger was the most perfect man and the shining example to all humanity. He had, as a man, no equal and still does not, nor will he ever Allah Willing. He had no peers, no equal throughout history, his message has spread to over a billion Muslims around the globe. It is without doubt that without his influence the world would still be in darkness, including the West which prides itself on its advances. The degree you study, a Bachelor of Arts or Science has its origins in the first Universities of Baghdad. Even the word Bachelor is of Arab decent. Yet it is easy to ignore the immense influence of one man who held the Truth for mankind. His is the example we should follow and try to emulate throughout our lives whether we are Muslim or non-Muslim. He is the Spirit of Truth, the Spirit of the Holy Qur'an and the Seal of the Prophets that came before him (RA). It is with this message and with this thought that one should try to see Islam as and not as the Western media is so quick to portray it as, terrorist and fundamentalists. Those of you who will study it may Allah guide your path with truth and knowledge and may your hearts be open to the Message of Allah and His Final Teacher onto man (SAW).
